Summary:  For Ugandans who have been travelling long distances to towns in search of laboratory and maternity services, these essential health services have now been brought closer, to parish level. On the other hand, emergency surgeries and blood transfusions will now be accessible at sub-county level. This development follows the upgrading of 1,704 Government-owned Health Centres II (HCII) to Health Centre III (HCIII) level.

Summary: Over 900,000 households across the country are set to be connected to the national electricity grid under the Electricity Scale up Project (EASP). This was after the Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL) on Friday signed two key agreements with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.

Summary: Kabalega Industrial Park in Buseruka, Hoima District, and the ground zero of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) is a hive of activity with trucks transporting equipment to the site and workers busy with installations. The site, which was previously a bushland, has transformed significantly. The ground has been levelled and oil and gas structures are rising faster than expected.
