SUMMARY: The Government has registered an improvement in the perception of service delivery, indicating greater satisfaction with initiatives aimed at enhancing the wellbeing of citizens, a new study shows. The findings, contained in a survey conducted by Twaweza Uganda, an NGO, show that unemployment, health services, the cost of living, corruption, hunger and poverty/inequality are the leading concerns in the country currently.

SUMMARY: A total of 50 Ugandans, including Police and Army officers, are set to receive medals during this year’s National Heroes’ Day celebrations at Lyantonde Technical Institute, Kariro town council, Lyantonde district. The annual celebration, held on June 9, in honour of the bravery, sacrifice and contributions of Uganda’s heroes, will be presided over by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, alongside distinguished guests from Uganda and beyond.
