CID SENDS 70 OFFICERS FOR A 3-MONTHS TRAINING

by Desire Amanya / Monday, 06 February 2023 / Published in Justice, Law and Order

District Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) officers have been sent to Kabalye Police Training School in Masindi district for a three (3) -months training.

The officers, who are at the rank of Detective Assistant Superintendent of Police (DASP), are to undergo an induction and ideological development course.

The  Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) and Director CID, Tom Magambo, requested the 70 officers to always accept offers to go for training courses, which he said are meant to refresh their memories hence better performance of their duties.

Magambo also told them that these training courses are meant to enable them to be the forefront of the socio-economic transformation of Ugandans.

“A strong CID is important in this vision of socio-economic transformation. Many of the officers have not done any Police courses since their initial cadet training.

” These courses are  a good opportunity to recharge and deliver better citizen-centered services” Magambo noted
