Summary: The Government has unveiled a UGX 593 trillion ambitious five-year plan, aimed at propelling the country into the middle class through creating an improved quality of life for Ugandans. Authored by the National Planning Authority (NPA), the strategy seeks to sustainably grow the economy by double digits, maintain macroeconomic stability, create more jobs, and raise resources to address the critical infrastructure deficit and social expenditures.

The Joint Operation Forces, known as Operation Shujaa, comprise the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and the Armed Forces of the DR Congo (FARDC).
