Summary: The Government has announced plans to scale down on the importation of diagnostic kits for HIV and malaria. The plan is to soon source most of the kits from local suppliers as the country builds capacity to make them locally, the Minister of Health, Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng, said yesterday.

Summary: With the march 2024 population census being barely three months away, the Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has indicated that it is ready with key processes. The board will conduct the first digital census and plans are underway for President Yoweri Museveni to launch the census activities on December 7.

Summary: The Government is set to roll out $217m (about UGX 825b) World Bank-funded project for women entrepreneurs. This project aims to reach about 60,000 female-owned enterprises, including 3,000 refuge-owned businesses, about 280,000 women entrepreneurs and their employees.
